Create Ocean Change 14 to 22 September 2024

Joining Forces to Rid the Ocean of Plastics

Help us reach 10,000 signatures during the 7th Annual AWARE Week, 14-22 September 2024. As the global community of divers and Ocean Torchbearers™, we’re joining forces to tackle the marine debris crisis. Sign the petition to support PADI AWARE® at the policy table during negotiations of the Global Plastics Treaty and take part in Dive Against Debris® events and other conservation activities and courses focused on local action for global impact.

Global Plastics Petition
Close the Tap on Plastic Pollution

With a Global Plastics Treaty currently in development, we have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to put an end to the plastics crisis. PADI AWARE Foundation is the only organization representing divers and the dive industry at the international policy table, and your participation will help turn the tide on plastics. Now is our time to take decisive action to support the PADI AWARE policy team. Make your voice heard and sign our petition demanding a strong Global Plastics Treaty that tackles the marine debris crisis. Become part of the united effort to collect 10,000 signatures this AWARE Week.

Conservation Course
Take an Ocean Conservation Course

Enroll in the Dive Against Debris Specialty Course and learn how to safely remove marine debris and upload survey data to the AWARE global database. Or discover a variety of other PADI AWARE conservation courses that offer educational opportunities to learn more about key threats facing the marine environment, and how you can positively impact ocean health.

Dive Against Debris
Make Every Dive a Survey Dive

Keep your favorite dive site free of debris and contribute to the largest global underwater database in the world. Since Dive Against Debris launched in 2011, divers have aided over 35,000 entangled marine animals and reported more than 2.4 million pieces of marine debris to inform groundbreaking research that is helping to create healthier oceans. You can make a difference on every dive.
